Nothing is collected

The app collects no information about you or your child. It has no accounts, no ads and no analytics. It makes no network requests: everything it needs, the lessons and the audio, is in the app.

On the web: your browser loads the lessons and audio from theirfirstwords.org, as it loads any web page, and the site’s host keeps the standard request logs every website gets; the app adds nothing about your child and sends nothing back.

What stays with you

A child’s name and progress are saved only on this device (in this browser, on the web). Nothing is sent anywhere. Removing a child, or Reset app, deletes them; so does deleting the app (clearing this browser’s data, on the web).

Children

The app is made for young children. It asks a child for nothing, and the only name it keeps is the one a parent types.

Links

The app opens no websites and shows nothing from outside itself.

On the web only, the website offers an optional, one-time tip for adults through Stripe. Stripe processes payment details, and Their First Words LLC receives the payment record, including your email and amount, to handle the tip and payment questions. Your child’s name and progress are never sent to Stripe. Every lesson stays free. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
