1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Their First Words LLC, a California limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information in connection with the Their First Tidy mobile application (the “App”) and support communications about the App.

2. Scope

This policy applies to the App, this Tidy privacy and support website, and support communications an adult voluntarily sends us about the App. Apple, Google, an email provider, and other services operate under their own privacy policies.

3. Information handling

3.1 Information the App automatically collects

None.

The App makes no in-app network request and does not automatically collect or transmit personal information, child activity, usage events, advertising identifiers, diagnostics, crash reports, or device records. It has no account, analytics, telemetry, advertising, attribution, cloud database, cloud sync, purchase, subscription, or entitlement service. Its only external navigation is a set of fixed, parent-initiated handoffs on the adult-gated Grown-Up Menu — our Their First Words app listing, our website, a support email, and this Privacy Policy — each handed to the operating system with no play or settings data attached.

3.2 Information stored only on the device

The App's complete durable record consists of:

These values stay inside the App's private local storage. They are not linked to an account, are not visible to us, and are never uploaded or synchronized. The tidied-scene list and scene-card position identify nobody: the App stores no name, age, birthday, profile, score, timestamps, visit history, favourites, or any other record of what a child did. A grown-up can clear the tidied scenes and card position at any time with Reset Progress in the Grown-Up Menu.

The App requests that all of its local files be excluded from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer and from iCloud backup.

3.3 Support communications an adult chooses to send

If an adult emails us, we receive the information they choose to provide, such as an email address, message, attachments, and device or app-version details they choose to describe. Please do not include personal information about a child.

We use support communications only to answer the request, troubleshoot a problem, protect our services, or meet legal obligations. The App does not automatically prepare, attach, or send a support message.

3.4 This website

These static Tidy pages set no advertising or analytics cookies and use no tracking script. Our hosting provider necessarily processes ordinary request information, such as an IP address, to deliver the page and protect the hosting service under its own terms. We do not use this site to profile children or families.

4. How we use information

Gameplay, scene selection, interactions, the Sound preference, and the local progress record operate locally on the device. This processing sends nothing to us. If an adult contacts support, we use the voluntarily supplied message only for support, safety, and legal purposes—not for advertising or profiling.

5. Sharing and selling

We do not sell personal information. We do not share child activity because the App never collects or receives it. We use no advertising network, analytics provider, attribution provider, data broker, or session-replay service.

An adult's voluntary support communication may be processed by the email providers needed to deliver and store that message. The web-hosting provider processes requests needed to serve these static pages.

6. App-store statistics

Apple and Google may provide developers with aggregated store information under their own platform terms. The App adds no tracking to create those statistics, and we do not use them to identify a child or family.

7. Children's privacy

Their First Tidy is designed for young children. The App does not collect personal information from children. There are no child-facing external links; external links appear only in the adult-directed Grown-Up Menu behind a continuous two-second parent hold. A child cannot create an account, enter personal details, communicate with us, or make a purchase. The App's only persisted play record is the nameless tidied-scene list and scene-card position described above, and it never leaves the device.

We design the App with children's privacy protections in mind. It has no behavioral advertising, profiling, location collection, child-facing purchases, social features, user-generated content, or manipulative reward economy.

8. Retention

9. Your choices and rights

Change the Sound setting or use Reset Progress at any time in the protected Grown-Up Menu; Reset Progress clears the tidied-scene list and scene-card position. Removing the App removes its installed local files under the operating system's normal uninstall behavior. Because the App creates no server or cloud record, there is no App account or remote child record for us to erase or export.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information you voluntarily sent in a support message. Contact privacy@theirfirstwords.org. We may need to verify that the request concerns your own communication.

10. International users

App data does not leave the device. If an adult contacts support from outside the United States or visits this website, the communication or request may be processed in the United States or wherever the service providers involved operate.

11. Security

The App minimizes risk by collecting and transmitting no child activity, keeping no child account credentials or cloud play record, and including no analytics or advertising stream. We use reasonable safeguards for support communications we receive, but no electronic system is completely secure.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the App or legal requirements change. We will update the “Last updated” date above and provide any notice or obtain any consent required by law.
